About Me
Khanh Bui – Owner/Operator
Born and raised in Gretna, Louisiana, I embarked on my professional journey after graduating from Archbishop Shaw High School in 2003. My career began in the field of Respiratory Therapy, where I honed my clinical skills and provided valuable care to patients.
My initial role as a respiratory therapist led me to Patio Drugs in Metairie, Louisiana, where I specialized in setting up CPAP/BiPAP machines for sleep apnea patients. Eager to expand my expertise, I pursued an opportunity at Ochsner in Jefferson, renowned for its commitment to learning and excellence. At Ochsner, I gained confidence in my skills and had the privilege of serving a diverse patient population.
Driven by my curiosity and a desire for new experiences, I took on a travel assignment in Austin, Texas, as a respiratory therapist. This venture allowed me to create enduring memories while furthering my professional development.
Subsequently, I transitioned into the HVAC industry in 2017 when an exciting opportunity arose within our family business in Nashville, Tennessee. At Sang & Sons HVAC, we capitalized on the burgeoning real estate market in Nashville and transformed our small operation into the largest Vietnamese HVAC contractor in the state. Over the years, our family business expanded significantly, employing a team of over 10 dedicated individuals and collaborating with multiple subcontractors.
In 2020, amid the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, I welcomed my son, Jameson. This significant life event prompted me to reflect on where I wanted to establish his roots, leading me to make the heartfelt decision to return to Louisiana in 2022. There, I embarked on a fresh start with Accutemp, one of Louisiana’s leading HVAC companies. Drawing from my experience in growing a business at Sang & Sons and my background in providing bedside patient care as a respiratory therapist, I embraced Accutemp’s mission to provide a 5-star customer experience.
After an enriching one-and-a-half-year tenure at Accutemp, I forged numerous lifelong relationships and developed the skills necessary to thrive in the HVAC industry. Now, as a proud father of two and engaged to their mother, my determination to succeed has never been stronger. This drive led me to establish my very own HVAC company, Pelican Air Heating & Cooling, where I am dedicated to delivering top-quality service and creating lasting customer relationships.
